Time is winding down to buy your tickets to the First Annual Friends of Franklin Public Library Wine Tasting to be held Saturday October 13, 2007 from 6:00-9:00pm. Tickets are $25.00 in advance only. They can be purchased at either the Franklin Public Library or at Consumer Beverage.

Larry Widen is back by popular demand on Monday October 8, 2007 at 7:00pm. He will continue in regaling us with stories of Milwaukee's Silver Screen's. He will take you down memory lane describing some of Milwaukee's favorite and famous movie theaters. Sweet Health for Men and Women is part of the Franklin Health Department, Wheaton Franciscan and the Friends of Franklin Public Library" "Your Body in Balance" Series Rather than sugary treats for your sweetheart give each other the gift of health for Sweetest Day. Join us for a special night of health information for men and women in the Franklin Public Library Fadrow Room on Wednesday October 10, 2007 from 6:30-8:00pm. Favorite Restaurant Knock-off Recipes
Thursday, October 25-11am-2pm & 6pm-8:30pm…maximum 35 people per session
Staci Joers is turning some of her favorite foods from popular restaurant chains into recipes and bringing them to you. She'll prepare for you to taste…Olive Garden’s Zuppa Toscana, Red Lobster’s Parrot Bay Coconut Shrimp with Pina Colada Dipping Sauce and Cheddar Bay Biscuits, P.F. Chang’s Chicken in Soothing Lettuce Wraps and Joe’s Crab Shack Blue Crab Dip. Plus, She'll supply you with lots of extra restaurant recipe favorites to try at home!!

Afternoon Tea-Lunch N Learn
Thursday, October 18-11am-2pm…maximum 24 people
Sample healthy meals, served family style, and get yourself out of the same old-same old lunch rut! Come with your friends and socialize over lunch while learning how to prepare everything. This is a two part program with a demonstration cooking class followed by a family style luncheon. You'll get to sample everything and take home the recipes.
Menu: "Berry Nice" Muffins, Cream of Portobello Mushroom Soup, Sesame Chicken & Veggie Salad, and Chinese Egg Tarts.

Cost is $20.00 and checks may be made payable to the Friends of Franklin Public Library.

Tuesday, October 30 @ 6:30PM for ages 3-6!
Enjoy spooky stories, decorate a treat bag and follow Ms. Keri to gather treats in the library!
Registration is required- Franklin residents may sign up in person or by phone starting Monday, October 1st and all others may register beginning Tuesday, October 2nd.
Space is limited to 100 children.
