Growing up, I loved to watch the Olympics with my dad.

As far as the Winter Olympics went, our favorite sport to watch was the ski jumping.

And back then, you got to watch a whole event from start to finish.

None of this jumping around and just watching little snippets or just the top few athletes.

And one of the things that made the Olympics special then was Jim McKay, the commentator for ABC's Wide World of Sports.

He was great.

Who can forget his voice...

Well, that was then....

and this is now.....

Ski jumping "too dangerous" for women?

Oh, young women athletes....

I feel for you É
