Will Our Boomgaard Have A Sister District?

By Janet Evans

I was wondering…

Since our Boomgaard District is named after a “Dutch” orchard, is there a chance we may have a “sister” district relationship with a district somewhere in Holland?

It might be a nice gesture.

Why not?

After all, there are sister “cities.”

Well, we might have trouble finding a "district" we can relate to....

Franklin and Oak Creek seem much more conservative than most of Holland.

And I think their orchards might have a little bit more than fruit growing in them.

Dutch Government Seeks To Ban Magic Mushrooms     í here

Magic mushrooms are seen at the Procare farm in Hazerswoude, central Netherlands.  Procare is  the Netherlands' largest grower
of hallucinatory mushrooms, supplying more than half the market.

If you check the Police logs, you usually find the activity that you linked to in "Dutch Government Seeks To Ban Magic Mushrooms" going on in many of the motels in the Boomgaard district. I guess with a sister district like this, it would help the district become more colorful and possibly psychedelic with out a cost to the city!
