Kevin Fischer is an award-winning veteran broadcaster who has been seen and heard on Milwaukee TV and radio stations for nearly three decades.
Kevin, who is a legislative aide to state Sen. Mary Lazich (R-New Berlin), can be seen offering his views on the news on the public affairs program, “InterCHANGE,” on Milwaukee Public Television Channel 10, and heard filling in on Newstalk 1130 WISN. He lives with his wife, Jennifer, and their baby daughter, Kyla Audrey, in Franklin.

In an age where professional athletes personify words like, “selfish,” and “greedy,” Derek Fisher is anything but.

The NBA star is considering retirement to spend more time tending to his 11-month old daughter who has cancer in her left eye. For now, he’s been let out of his $21 million contract by the Utah Jazz. It’s an amazing, inspirational story.

Two months ago, I named Derek Fisher one of my Heroes of the Week on Week-ends after a gutty, clutch performance in the playoffs against Golden State.

Another blogger captures the details in this account including video of that game against Golden State in May.

Derek Fisher: loving, devoted father, honorable man.
