It would be wrong to forget 9/11, yet some want us to

I wish one of the cable television news networks would regularly open up one of their programs with the video of the planes crashing into the towers on 9/11.

America, sadly, has forgotten why we fight the war on terror.

Impatient America wants resolutions, solutions and results in the snap of a finger.

The answer to world terrorism isn’t that simple.

Unlike generations before us, America has lost the will to fight. Too many subscribe to the Russ Feingold wave the white flag, cut and run philosophy, failing to realize how dangerous that would be. Today we fight on their soil. Leave Iraq before the job is done, and we may certainly live to face another 9/11, again on our land.

Tragically, far too many Americans have forgotten 9/11, and the liberal NY Times wants even more to forget.

In their Sunday edition, the paper writes that America has gone too far with its commemorations and vigils surrounding the 9/11 anniversary. Isn’t enough enough, the paper ponders.

Would the same paper have written anything remotely similar to the Katrina anniversary?

The liberal NY Times is wrong. We can’t say, report, broadcast, and write enough about what happened on 9/11. America was attacked by terrorist murderers whose followers would think nothing of repeating the same dastardly act over and over again.

Come 9/11 this year, in just a few short days, the airwaves need to be bombarded with tear-jerking stories of the innocent families left behind, of the heroic rescuers, of the need to continue the war on terror, a war that has successfully prevented any attack on American soil ever since that tragic day in 2001.

Liberals don’t want America to remember. They have no answer to Iraq, Iran, or any other terrorist country or group. The liberal answer is simply to rip the President, or ask this country to do what it has never done before: back down from a fight. God bless President Bush for having the will to fight a necessary crusade against a world evil and not cowardly toss in the towel.

Forget 9/11?

Not talk about it?

Stop holding commemorative vigils and ceremonies and tributes?

Have the liberals lost their minds?

Yes they have, as evidenced by this article in Sunday’s NY Times:

A Debate Rises: How Much 9/11 Tribute Is Enough?
