We've gotten more cross-traffic off Franklin Now / This Just In than my
servers can handle over at the DailyScoff.com. Some of you might have
seen my site go down under the stress yesterday afternoon.
While we
appear to have everything back together over there, I'm going to have
to axe you all to line up single file and proceed through my blog in an
orderly fashion from now on. When too many of you pile in at once, the
burden on the iPod I run the site off of is too much, and the site crashes. Thanks for your
cooperation.
I'm going over to the server location to change the
9 volt battery. In my absence, I've asked Senator Joe Biden to fill in
for me:

Well thanks Henry, and please let me say what an honor it is to speak with your readers here in Wyoming.
You
know, whenever I visit Milwaukee, I look forward to breakfast at Saz's
Waffle House at the bustling Northridge Shopping Center, and of course,
nothing beats dinner at the George Webber's in the Grand Avenue Mall,
the heart of the thriving retail economy that generations of
progressive mayors have built here in the Beer Capital of the World.
Anyway,
I was talking to George, the owner of the George Webber's chain, and he
informed me that the area's cultural hub is the Polish Center down near
Franklin.
So I thought while I was here filling in for Dave, I'd
bring you up to speed on the happenings down there at the center, or as
the kids say these days, "Here's the haps, Daddy-O".
First off,
I should mention that I saw the Martin Wasilewski Jazz Trio perform at
the Polish Center last Friday. I'll tell you what... those are five
very talented musicians. And the fella on the big, whadda ya call
it... where you blow into one end... the drums, yes... the fella on the
drums was outstanding. If you ever get a chance to see them, well by
gosh, it's just some of the best music I've ever heard with my own
two eyes.
Now, there's another event coming to the center next
weekend. It's an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast, and if you want
more details, go on over to the
Community Calendar at Franklin Now.
I'm going to click over there myself, right now. I'm anxious to find
out what sort of food they plan on serving.
Maybe I'll swing past Mayor Norquist's office and ask him if he'd like to join me...
