SHEBOYGAN, WI [ JG ]  On the heels of a successful campaign to block the construction of a clean (and much needed) coal-powered utility plant, comes word that we'll be urinating away another $153 million dollars to modify the exhaust of an existing Sheboygan power plant.

Political Satire : Thank You Sierra Club c/o Gravelle's Daily Scoff at DailyScoff.com ... just turn your head and scoff

Anybody who has ever driven through Sheboygan and seen and smelled the air near the existing power plant knows that you can't see and smell the air near the existing power plant.

So not only are we being denied a cheap, clean, and abundant energy source, but we're also spending money we don't have to satisfy some unrealistic goal of having a utility belch out cleaner air than it sucked in.

Some won't be happy until every industrial smokestack emits nothing but sitar music, butterflies, and cinnamon incense...

Gravelle just got his utility bill.  You could probably have guessed that...

Just like MMSD is expected to pour chlorinated tap-water from its dump pipes into Lake Michigan, right?
